Each SMART institution appointed a SMART Programme Director and a SMART Administrator. The SMART Programme Directors are members of the SMART SB and AB and shall be responsible for the management of the SMART EMJD, including ensuring compliance with the requirements and obligations of the Agency and each partner institution.

The academic representatives of the SB for each partner are:

• PD Dr. Franz Hölker (IGB-FUB)

The SMART EMJD is supported by administrative support at each institution to manage the operational details of the programme.

The SMART Secretariat is the main reference office for Coordinator, Boards and Doctoral Candidates on the programme. The Secretariat  supports Doctoral Candidates for any administrative issue they have to deal with, namely: selection, visa and enrolment procedure; pre-arrival information and courses information; credits and mobility check; travels’ support. All official communication are managed from this office.
